The alarm didn't ring
- Leave the lid open, or turn on Anti-Escape Hard (Pro, Settings, then Never Miss It). Without it, a closed MacBook goes to sleep, and a sleeping Mac can't ring.
- Keep "Keep the Mac awake before alarms" on (Settings, then Never Miss It). It stops the Mac from dozing off in the hours before the alarm; the screen still turns off.
- Plug in overnight so the battery can't run out.
- Turn on "Open at login" so a restart doesn't leave Kill Snooze closed. The Ready button on the dashboard shows all of this at a glance.
It's too quiet
Settings, then Never Miss It, then "Raise volume if too low" sets the minimum volume used while an alarm rings. If AirPods or headphones are connected, the alarm also rings in your Mac's speakers. Pro adds an extra-loud mode that kicks in after 30 seconds without any activity.
Anti-Escape asks for my password
That is macOS approving the small helper that keeps a closed MacBook awake. It asks once. The helper only works during an alarm, or from the evening before in Hard mode. Anti-Escape is in the version downloaded from this site, not the Mac App Store one.
How do I stop the alarm?
Complete the mission on the main screen: a tap, a few sums, a sentence to retype… You can pick the missions and their difficulty in each alarm.
Activate my license key (website purchase)
Your key arrives by email right after payment. In Kill Snooze, open Settings, then License, click "Buy or enter a key", paste the key and click Activate. One key works on 2 computers.
Move my license to another Mac
On the old Mac: Settings, License, "Deactivate on this Mac". Then activate the key on the new one. If the old Mac is gone, free its seat from your customer portal: https://polar.sh/tasolution-group/portal
