Kill Snooze is an alarm clock for Mac. It is built to work without an account and without collecting personal data.

What stays on your Mac

Your alarms, settings, streaks, wake-up history and any sound files you add are stored only on your Mac, inside the app's own storage. We do not receive them, and we cannot see them.

Location and weather (optional)

If you turn on "Show weather on the wake-up screen" and allow Location access, Kill Snooze:

The location is used only to show the weather and is not stored or shared by us. You can turn weather off in Settings, or remove Location access in System Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Location Services.

YouTube videos (optional)

If you pick a YouTube video as an alarm, Kill Snooze uses YouTube API Services:

YouTube (Google) then receives your IP address and the video being played, as with any YouTube video. Kill Snooze stores only the video's link, on your Mac, and keeps no YouTube cookies or data after the alarm. Google's privacy policy applies to what YouTube receives: https://policies.google.com/privacy. By using a YouTube video as an alarm, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms.

Activity on your Mac

The optional wake-up checks and Idle Guard read how long the keyboard and mouse have been idle (a single number provided by macOS). Kill Snooze never reads what you type or where you click, and this information never leaves your Mac.

Purchases (Mac App Store edition)

On the Mac App Store, Apple processes the payment; we never receive your payment details. The app only asks the App Store whether your Apple Account owns Kill Snooze Pro.

License (direct download edition)

If you bought Kill Snooze Pro on our website, the purchase is handled by Polar (polar.sh), our reseller. Polar receives your payment details; we never do. When you activate your license key in the app, the key and the name of your Mac are sent to Polar so the key can be tied to that computer, and the app checks with Polar about once a day that the key is still valid. Nothing else about you or your alarms is sent.

Updates (direct download edition)

Once a day, the app asks our website whether a newer version exists. That request carries the app's version number and, like any web request, your IP address. Nothing else is sent, and nothing is downloaded or installed without you.

Analytics and tracking

None. Kill Snooze contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code. A YouTube video you pick may show YouTube's own ads, which Kill Snooze does not control.

Children

Kill Snooze does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
